Ready for your session!?!

We are thrilled you are interested in having Nova Imagery capture your photo session.

Below are our most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your shoot!

If you have any questions, please email

What types of photo sessions do you offer?

We specialize in engagement sessions as well as maternity, and families!

What is a session fee and how much is it?

Our $400 session fee covers your photographer's time & talent, our editors preparation of your gallery, and your reveal session. Your session fee does not include prints, albums, or digital images.

What is a reveal session?

A reveal session is where you view your images for the first time, go through all of our artwork options, and select your printed and digital products. Our reveal sessions are virtually for your convenience and our clients typically spend about $1000 on their images, however there are no minimum orders. You can purchase as much or as little as you'd like.

What products do you offer?

We have a variety of custom wall art, heirloom albums, and signature items. Due to the custom nature of our products, we'll walk you through each one individually and help you select the ones that best display your images during your reveal session.

Do you offer sessions outside of Central Fl?

Yes! We travel quite extensively. If you would like to create images that are a bit more unique in a different location, please inquire about our travel dates. If you meet us in a city we are already planning to be at, there are no additional travel fees.

What happens if we need to cancel or postpone?

We recommend booking as soon as you know you'd like to have Nova Imagery capture your photo session. Due to our weddings and travel schedule, our availability is limited. Typically our portrait clients book at least 3-4 months in advance.

How far in advance should we book?

The session fee is nonrefundable. If you need to reschedule your session for any reason, a $50 rescheduling fee will apply.

What happens if it rains on the day of Session?

This varies on the details of your photo session and your preferences. We can reschedule to a later date, utilize an indoor location, or embrace the rain and incorporate it in your session. Due to the unpredictable weather in Florida, we make the final rain call 3 hours prior to your photo session.

Can we bring our dog to our photo session?

Yes! They more than welcome if the location allows them. We recommend having a friend or family member come along to keep him / her occupied when we are done with their photos.

How can I prepare for our session?

We recommend two different outfits make you feel confident and comfortable in, to get two unique looks. ( For example, a date night casual outfit and a formal outfit. ) If it's an engagement session, scheduling your hair and makeup trial the day of your photo session will allow you to see how it will translate into photos, prior to the wedding.

Wardrobe Tips : Neutral colors, earthy or rich tones tend to photograph the best. Please stay away from neon colors or graphics. Select 2-3 colors that coordinate well and mix them up so that you compliment each other. Make sure your nails are neat ( painted or not, but no chipping ) and your clothing is lint / wrinkle free. Also, take a look around your home, where you would like to hang your photos, and consider coordinating your attire colors to compliment your home aesthetic so when your photos are on the walls, it'll look like artwork that was meant for that space. If you need attire ideas, please email us and we can send over a pinterest board.

Can we get A FEW sneak peEk images before our reveal SESSION?

We have the most amazing editing team that handles the post production after your photo session. We send all the images to them so they can do their magic, and because of this we typically can't offer sneak peeks prior to your reveal session. Images take about 2 weeks to come back. If images are ready sooner than expected, we'll contact you to see if you'd like to move your reveal session date  a bit earlier.
